A strong association for a strong industry
As an industry association, Recycling Switzerland (formerly VSMR) represents the interests of private recycling companies in Switzerland. It advocates for environmentally friendly and resource-conserving recycling.
Thanks to their entrepreneurial skills, expertise, and ability to master constantly changing conditions in the recycling industry, the members of Recycling Switzerland provide an important service to the economy and citizens.
We convert waste into reusable materials with maximum efficiency.

SWITZERLAND IS RICH IN RAW MATERIALS
FIRE HAZARD
Lithium-ion batteries (LiBa) have become an integral part of our lives. This highly efficient and mobile energy source is being used in more and more consumer goods. If LiBa batteries are damaged or swollen, or if they are disposed of incorrectly, they pose a serious fire hazard! Despite intensive and costly preventive measures, fires regularly occur in recycling centres. www.brandgefaehrlich.ch

CLIMATE PROTECTION
Companies in the recycling industry play a key role in the success of the energy transition and climate protection. They make a crucial contribution to transforming Switzerland into one of the most energy- and resource-efficient countries in the world.
The recyclers organised in Recycling Switzerland bring top-quality secondary raw materials back into the economic cycle for sustainable reuse. This conserves resources and saves large amounts of CO2.
