Increase of the fee for the authorisation to export and import of waste

On 1 March 2025, the FOEN will increase the basic fees for authorisation to export and import of waste from CHF 700 to CHF 800.

As the competent authority for the enforcement of the Basel Convention, the FOEN has been confronted with a sharp increase in applications for the export and import of waste for years. The FOEN has been allocated additional positions to ensure that applications are processed within the deadlines. The additional personnel costs will be covered by the increased fee mentioned above.
